Sheree from LifePoint Church approached designer Amanda Settle for a small (4×4″) but eye-catching handout card to promote their church’s new name at the County Fair.
Their information was straightforward – logo, new name, “formerly known as,” location, worship hours, and “find us on Facebook.”
Amanda made a series of quick decisions about logo size and layout, and what parts to emphasize and how. Then she went to Facebook and found the username for their First Assembly of God page, @APlaceofSactuary — which caused some confusion, as the church did not remember they had set that as their page’s username.
Amanda walked Sheree through the process of changing their Facebook username to @LifePointFR in time to meet the printing schedule, and got the handouts printed in time for the Fair!
Value Amanda added:
- Experienced graphic design skills
- Web skills – shared knowledge of how to identify and correct the page name
- Logistical smarts – accommodated a rushed schedule for both the design and printing
