And for all you cooks out there Laura will be posting recipes of French Toast and other breakfast delicacies submitted by her friends on her Facebook page in preparation for “Breakfast With Buddha”.
A versatile DC singer/songwriter, Laura is known for her jazz-tinged world music and soulful acoustic performances.
Laura is the recipient of several Washington Area Music Awards (Wammies) and Mid-Atlantic Song Contest Gold Awards, and the album Breakfast With Buddha was partially funded by a grant from the Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County, MD.
Her rendition of Auld Lang Syne was featured on The Young and the Restless New Years Eve 2020 Episode. Laura’s interview on Channel wusa9, (DMV Soundcheck) aired on 2/5/21 (see clip on her website).
Breakfast With Buddha, produced by Marco Delmar, is a unique assortment of genre bending sounds.
- From big band to Indie folk to world groove you’ll hear brass, tabla, bamboo flutes, violin, upright bass and Laura’s dynamic vocals.
- Laura’s commitment to serving causes she believes has led her to create music videos with the album’s tracks. Refugee sheds light on the plight and strength of refugees from around the world.
- On the Streets of New York celebrates the Statue Of Liberty as a beacon to immigrants throughout the ages.
